I received word earlier in the month of the passing of Thomas Peterman on 27 April; unfortunately, I didn’t see the e-mail until after his memorial service on the third of May. Since then, I have wrestled with composing a fitting tribute to the man I knew as Tom, but known by others as Pete, Dwain, or Papa (to his kids and grandkids). Unfortunately, the only photo of him that is available dates from his early years in the Air Force (of which he was justly proud), but it turned out that he aged quite well throughout his 30+ year career at E-Systems, as I certainly can see the resemblance to his younger self.
Many of the Wednesday Retiree Lunch crowd will remember him as the transportation partner to Dottie Vaughn when she became unable to drive herself in from Irving, but it has been a while since we have seen him at the events.
