Late in 2025, we lost another dear former employee – Bruce Bates, Sr.

At the relatively young age of 67, Bruce passed away on 28 December in Sachse, just short of his birthday of January 6th.  A native of Magnolia, MS, Bruce grew up very close to the Louisiana border and joined the U.S. Army right after graduating high school.  He proudly served from 1976 to 1982; upon leaving the Army, he joined E-Systems and continued an illustrious career spanning several decades and weathering the “interesting” years following the Raytheon acquisition until his retirement in 2013.

Bruce’s memorial service will be held on January 10th, 2026 at One Community Church in Garland (located at 200 East Interstate 30; just south of the highway on the eastbound service road about halfway between Broadway and Zion).  Bruce’s Viewing and Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am, with a Celebration of Life immediately following.
